In its showcasing series ‘Digital Innovation Made in Africa’, Make-IT presents good practices from African tech entrepreneurs with a high potential for social impact. Together with partners from the Make-IT network, such as the World Summit Awards (WSA) and betterplace lab, Make-IT in Africa selects the most promising digital innovations from Sub-Saharan Africa in a joint selection process and publishes a series of best practice examples in a digital catalogue, as well as creating a touring exhibition for each catalogue.
The innovations are representative of numerous new developments that convey a completely new image of Africa: dynamic, modern, innovative, technical, and at the same time human – because behind every digital innovation is a team of founders who are keen to combine socially responsible entrepreneurship with digital modernisation.
